近年虐儿个案持续上升，其中身体虐待个案占最多，对受虐儿童的身心发展影响深远。防止虐待儿童会于3月22日举办的保护儿童专业论坛，有近130位来自社福界、教育界及医疗卫生界的专业人士参与。五位嘉宾讲者分别与参加者分享有关体罚儿童的最新问卷调查结果、身体虐待对儿童的影响、体罚的替代方案(预防和保护)、家长教育和实践校本保护儿童政策的重要性，以及了解强制通报虐待儿童的法律挑战等，内容十分丰富和有启发性，希望提升社会各界关注体罚儿童及身体虐待的相互关系，探讨香港保护儿童工作的进程和未来方向。
