近年虐兒個案持續上升，其中身體虐待個案佔最多，對受虐兒童的身心發展影響深遠。防止虐待兒童會於3月22日舉辦的保護兒童專業論壇，有近130位來自社福界、教育界及醫療衛生界的專業人士參與。五位嘉賓講者分別與參加者分享有關體罰兒童的最新問卷調查結果、身體虐待對兒童的影響、體罰的替代方案(預防和保護)、家長教育和實踐校本保護兒童政策的重要性，以及了解強制通報虐待兒童的法律挑戰等，內容十分豐富和有啟發性，希望提升社會各界關注體罰兒童及身體虐待的相互關係，探討香港保護兒童工作的進程和未來方向。
