Against Child Abuse (ACA) was established in 1979 as a non-governmental organization specialised in child protection work. We strive to eliminate all forms of child abuse, to cultivate a nurturing, caring and non-violent environment for the optimal growth of children and to implement measures in defending children’s rights. In view of families’ rising needs and the limited resources, we decided to raise funds to support our quality child protection services. We were given permission by the Social Welfare Department to hold a Regional Flag Day in the New Territories on 1 December 2018 (Saturday). The message of child protection was conveyed to the public through the ACA Flag Day’s promotional and recruitment activities. We recruited over 4,000 adult and child volunteers to help us on that day. All volunteers were passionate and enthusiastic and the result was very encouraging.

We invited Sëmk Products Limited to design our poster and flag this year. "B.Duck" was the main character on the flag, with the theme being parent-child activities. "B.Duck" and its supporting volunteers also appeared in Kwai Fong to participate in our Flag Day. We sincerely thank Sëmk Products Limited for their support. We also thank HealthWorks (Herbal Tea) Company Limited for sponsoring product coupons to our Flag Day volunteers for their contributions. Moreover, we sincerely thank several Government Departments, Secondary and Primary Schools, Kindergartens and other corporations such as Hong Kong Housing Authority, DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, MTR Corporation, The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited for supporting our publicity activities and providing venues for flag bag collection. Furthermore, many donors supported us by golden flag donation. The amount raised would help sustain our quality service in our child protection work.
