Responsibilities:

• To lead the agency to promote a caring and non-violent environment for the optimal growth and development of our children
• To promote the agency brand and services, execute approved plans and achieve organisational performance objectives
• To identify the needs of the community regarding detection, prevention and treatment of child abuse problems
• To be responsible for the publicity of the services of the agency and initiate fund raising programmes
• To liaise with welfare services, government departments, and other appropriate organisations
• To work with media on child protection and welfare concerns
• To solicit the community's financial support on the agency's activities

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree or above in social work, social science or related discipline
• At least 12 years’ solid work experience in the social work field or a relevant public sector organisations, of which three years at senior managerial level leading a professional team
• Inspirational leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage the team to raise efficiency, productivity and quality
  
• Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese, English and Mandarin

We are looking for a Registered Social Worker who will be responsible for a mental health funding and working with caregivers and children of 6-17 years old at Tuen Mun Centre. Job duties include caseworks, groups and public education. The candidate should be a degree holder with at least 1 year working experience in social work. Candidate using arts and drama as a working approach will definitely be an advanatage.

Project Overview:
The project aims at facilitating the parents-to-be and parents with newborn who live in Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai districts to have a child protection concept on building a safe and non-violent environment for the optimal growth and development of children from the very beginning. The project mainly consists of parent education activities, home visitation, parent-child activities and volunteer training.

• Assist project social workers to prepare activity materials for project implementation
• Provide assistance with the storybook and sensory groups for young children
• Provide administrative support and handle data entry and compilation
• Provide assistance with projects and centre activities

• Diploma holder / with post-secondary education or above
• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for working with newborn babies and families
